Hotspot billing for Kenyan Wi-Fi businesses
Turn a Wi-Fi connection into a clear customer journey.
Welcome customers with your brand, help them choose the right package and connect payment to account activation on your MikroTik Hotspot.
01
Packages people can choose with confidence
Give each published package a clear name, price, speed and validity. A customer buying a short session should understand the offer as easily as someone buying a longer pass.
Keep the portal focused on available offers. Check publication and router readiness when packages are unavailable, rather than asking customers to pay for an offer the network cannot fulfil.
- Branded captive-portal templates
- Published package selection
- Visible pricing and service limits
02
A payment experience with a next step
Supported checkout opens the provider payment flow from the portal. Once the payment is verified, CENTRANET prepares the customer account and waits for the router to acknowledge its installation.
The portal can then hand the credentials to the local Hotspot login flow. Keep manual login details available when needed, and help customers resume an existing paid purchase without paying twice.

Access that follows the package
Package limits become part of the subscriber configuration sent to the router. Expiry, suspension and renewal request changes to the account’s entitlement.
The dashboard separates the requested account state from observed router evidence. That gives the operator a way to investigate a delayed change instead of assuming the customer has connected or disconnected.

Launch with a real customer-device check
After provisioning, connect a test phone through a customer port or customer Wi-Fi. Open the portal, complete the intended payment flow and check that ordinary websites load after authentication.
Also check expiry or suspension and a subsequent renewal. A reachable login page and a successful router heartbeat are useful evidence, but neither alone proves that paid internet access works.

Let’s clear
a few things up.
A little clarity goes a long way.
Ask us something elseCan I run Hotspot and PPPoE on the same customer ports?
The provisioning flow supports assigning both services to reviewed customer ports. Internet and management connections are protected; ambiguous topology requires review.
What happens if a customer pays but does not connect?
Check the payment record, subscriber entitlement and router acknowledgement. Resume the existing paid activation where appropriate and use the available manual credentials. Do not ask the customer to pay again just to retry access.
Can the Hotspot page use my brand?
Yes. Prepare a portal with your business identity and publish the packages you want to sell. The approved portal files must also be installed on the router.
