Getting Started with Centranet: Set Up Your ISP Workspace
This guide takes a new ISP from sign-up to a first paying customer. Follow the steps in order. Each one links to a detailed guide.
Create your account
Go to centranetispbilling.com and choose Start free trial. Sign up with your business email and a Kenyan mobile number, then confirm the code sent to your phone. The trial needs no card.
Name your workspace
Use the business name your customers know. It appears on receipts, SMS and the customer portal. Choose your country and currency. You can change the logo and colours later in Brand & domain.
Open the Launch checklist
Settings → Launch checklist shows what is left: connect a router, create packages, set up payments and add customers. Each item opens the right page.
Connect your first MikroTik
Routers → Add router gives you one script to paste into the MikroTik terminal. The router connects back over a secure tunnel, and Centranet reviews its ports before changing anything. See Connect a MikroTik router.
Create packages
Packages & prices: create PPPoE packages (monthly home plans) and Hotspot packages (hourly, daily or weekly). Set the speed, price and duration.
Turn on payments
Choose how customers pay: M-Pesa through Centranet’s collection service with automatic payouts, or your own Paybill, Till or provider. See Accept M-Pesa payments.
Add your team
Team & access: invite staff and choose a role for each. Staff never need the owner’s password. Assign installation and repair jobs to staff in Field work.
- Owner and admin: full control, including payouts and branding

- Support: subscribers and tickets
- Read-only: view without changing anything

Most ISPs connect a router and bill a first customer the same day. Connecting the router itself usually takes under 10 minutes.
Do I need a server?
No. Centranet is hosted for you. You only need a MikroTik router with internet access.
